What got me thinking this race. Will FIA/F1 do something about the cancelled races?
I mean will they substitute or something later this year but if they don't the winner of WDC will not be seen as a real champ among fans. My guessing.
Especially if someone like Kimi Antonelli wins his first this way with less races then he will probably among the fans not be seen as a real champ or no one will.

While this year was supposed to be his year. I don't think he is botching it. Kimi drives really well at the moment so I don't see it's his fault or the team. Kimi is just too good.

Bit of a side note, Lando got a lot of stick last season for not winning convincingly in the best car when Piastri was doing a genuinely great job early on and looked like a title favourite for a solid portion of the season, taking points off him and eventually allowing Max to muscle into the fight (also thanks to McLarens management of the 2), Plenty assured us how Russell would show everyone how it was done this season.... guess it just shows that winning a title even in the best car isn't all that easy after all when the guy in the same car performs and especially when other drivers/teams are close enough to muscle into their fight already.

Hilarious that this Mercedes mouth-piece channel doesn't mention the fact that the illegal Merc engine was and still is the differentiator between those running it and those not. Ferrari have done an amazing job with the chassis and the upgrades - but when you have to hammer the car in every corner to make up for your lack of horse power, you're never going to surpass those with an engine generating more HP than the the regs allow, especially on a power hungry track like this one. Just look at where Alpine and Williams were - says all you need to know.

These mario kart regulations were built for the sim generation, which is why Kimi, Lando, Charles, Max, and unfortunately Oscar are better equipped to manage everything.

While Kimi is doing great and George is struggling, we haven’t hit the point we did last season where Kimi struggled hard, same as Oscar’s season last year, so we still have to wait and see

The slow pit stop ruined charles race he wouldve come out ahead of george and had a way bigger gap back to oscar and he wouldnt of had to push so hard the last 2 laps with tires that were worn out the charles and the car were good enough for 3rd

#7 thing we learned: F1's 'TV deal' with the U.S. sucks. Especially if you're not an Apple user. I had previously been a religious subscriber to F1 TV, but this Apple only option is extremely limiting and significantly more expensive.. It seems you can't even sign up for AppleTV if you don't have an Apple device first. Hopefully, they come up with something better next year.

its not a mystery why ferrari are still not quick......they are fastest in all the corners and slower in the straights. You lose more time in the straights. Unless they have solve the power issues then they are the 4th best car again.

Here’s a 7th thing we’ve learned. No matter how mediocre Verstappen is in a race, count on his cultish fans to glaze him.

Max's point is spot on, and it was easy to see, even in qualifying where they supposedly made it less noticeable. people with a slow middle sector compared to other drivers had a very quick last sector and that gave them all the advantage.

what the gp revealed to me is that redbull are very competitive again, far from mercedes or mclaren in my opinion but if max on 300 year old tires can keep up and fight both leclerc and piastri, it shows some significant progress

Lando's car had an issue in the last few laps and his engineer told him to ease off. He was originally gaining on Kimi but later dropped back because of the issue.
